Harneys is supporting the move towards clean, renewable energy in the British Virgin Islands. The law firm recently contributed pro bono legal services to a project which aims to pave the way for increased use of renewable energy technology in the BVI.

Green VI has handed over to Government draft legislation that could swiftly revise current legislation that restricts the use of renewable energy in the BVI.

I recently watched a 2004 documentary regarding the coming shortage in oil.  I mention this because the economists predicted a series of sharp increases in oil prices corresponding to economic growth followed by economic recessions due to excessive energy prices.  The reduced demand then causes a reduction in oil prices and the cycle repeats itself.
